Firearm ownership is a polarizing topic gun control laws will always be a topic of conversation while mental ill individuals are committing mass shootings. But for a prepper the ownership of firearms is not a debate at all.

Firearms ownership holds a great value, both in terms of personal protection and recreation. Firearms are a symbol of freedom and responsibility, and the right to bear arms is enshrined in the US Constitution. Firearms can also be used for hunting, recreational shooting, and competitive shooting sports. Additionally, firearms can be used to protect oneself, family, and property. Owning a firearm also carries an obligation to use it safely and responsibly, in accordance with the law, and to ensure the safety of others.

New Florida State Gun Law of 2023

There is a new gun law taking place in the state of Florida beginning July 1, 2023. Passed into law in April 2023, Gov. Ron DeSantis signed House Bill 543 and Senate Bill 150, changing the requirements for gun carry permits. It is no longer required that persons need a permit to carry a concealed firearm in Florida, nor do they require training or background check.
